Our first watermelon from the Kinder Garden - and it's yummy!
I'm a learning mom of four trying to balance a kosher, homeschooling homestead.

Backyard Pick-Your-Own
When we lived in Baltimore, my husband and I would take our ninos and drive an hour out of town in order to pay $4 for a pint of blueberries. Yep.
Today, I had the pleasure of watching my two 'big' boys (ages 4 and 2) pick blackberries right in our backyard. So far this year, we've also had strawberries, banana peppers and just a few tomatoes. I'm hoping for zucchini, watermelon and cabbage later in the summer.
Although each boy only got about 5 in their containers (the rest went into the moths) I think we had a pretty good harvest...until tomorrow! I'm loving living in Kentucky!
